About Olive Leaf Lofts
We are Matt and Mandy Schlabach. We work together in the real estate industry. A few years ago, we got into racing pigeons and fell in love with the sport as well as the birds. Since then, we learned about white dove release. Being very intrigued by it, we did some research and realized that it’s the perfect opportunity to spend more time with our birds and serve our community at the same time.
And so began Olive Leaf Lofts. It is our heart’s desire to serve you and your loved ones in whatever the need may be. Our promise to you is that we will make every effort possible to meet and exceed your expectations in every release we do.
The name Olive Leaf Lofts is inspired by the story of Noah’s Ark in the Bible. We believe the dove released from the Ark which returned with an olive leaf is where the amazing homing instinct began, and today the doves still have that same instinct that returns them to their home loft after each release!

How much notice do I need to give for a dove release?
While we do our best to meet all your needs, providing us with more time increases the chance that we are not yet booked.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In the event of inclement weather such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, high winds, dense fog, snow, or extreme temperatures, we may need to make the difficult decision to cancel the white dove release
If we determine that the weather is unsuitable for a release, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the cancellation. In such cases, you will receive a full refund of your payment.
Can I customize my dove release package?
Yes, we have various baskets from which the doves can be released, and you can also customize the flowers on them.
What locations do you service?
Our services are primarily offered within a 75-mile radius of Killbuck, Ohio. Please contact us for pricing regarding locations outside of this area.
Are your doves trained for release?
Yes, we spend a lot of time with our doves and try to give them multiple flights per week. And the doves are always excited for the flight back home.
Can I include other elements like flowers?
Yes, you can add customizable elements such as flowers or messages to complement your dove release and make it even more special for your occasion.
What if I need to cancel my order?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so we can assist you in getting your release canceled and a refund in process.
